My Favorite Things

Having worked in the beauty industry for years, I always get asked – what is your favorite mascara or lipstick? What skincare would you recommend? I am very blessed to have had the opportunity and option to use all sorts of products from skincare to makeup. It has been to my advantage because it has made me very knowledgeable to so many beauty lines, which helps me to recommend the right product for my clients. I have such a long list I couldn’t possibly fit it all into this blog, so I went with a few items that I get asked about all the time. Throughout this year, I will come back to this topic and introduce you to more of my top favorites.

1. If you are looking for volume, length, and curl in a mascara – look no longer. Chanel Inimitable Waterproof is it! I have very little to no eyelashes and, the older I get, the more it is evident that those long lash days are over without a little help. You will fall in love with this mascara if you have little to no eyelashes. It will take your lashes from ordinary to extraordinary in just minutes! Every time I wear it I get compliments. I love the brush because it can get each of my stubby, short lashes and make them POP! Chanel has outdone themselves again with this product.

2. Nares Velvet Matte Lip Pencil is every girl's dream. I don’t know if it is the light weight that I love, or if it is the long lasting wear, but either way it works for me! It’s a lipstick in a jumbo crayon – how creative is that?! Typically, a matte lip is very drying, but this product is not. Its formula is very creamy and velvety. And, the best part? It comes in 30 shades that are rich in pigment.

3. Who doesn’t need a little touch-up in their life. Well, with Yves Saint Laurent and their Touché Éclat’ Radiant Touch they had you in mind. I must admit that I was introduced to this product by pure necessity. I needed a boost-me-up under my eyes (I was very tired that day and it showed). I promise this product does work miracles – I looked like a had gotten an eight-hour night rest and it made a believer out of me. Applied with a pen brush that you can wear either over makeup or on the natural skin, this product will leave you looking radiant and alive in seconds.

4. Last on my list, but certainly not least, is Kate Somerville Goat Mil Moisturizing Cream. One of my daughters suffers from eczema, which can become severe during winter and wasn't helped by doctor-prescribed steroid cream. I decided to try this cream and it worked miracles on her skin. Within a few days her skin had a significant change and, although her eczema has improved with age, she still uses this cream every now and then.

Have fun exploring these products and I hope they give you as much satisfaction as they have for me over the years.
